In April 2024, Adèle and her five puppies were admitted to the shelter. About one of the pups, Birkan wrote, "He's the boss," so we named him Bruce, after Bruce Springsteen. We named the others after Bruce Springsteen's mother, Adèle, and members of the E-Street Band: Vinni, Roy, Clarence and Patti. The puppies grew like crazy and are now big and strong and very social dogs. While Clarence, Bruce and Roy are active all the time, Vinni and Patti prefer to keep it a little quiet. They prefer to occupy themselves with lying down and gnawing on something.
